We are delighted to invite you to the Akrotiri Spring Festival, a vibrant, family-friendly celebration dedicated to the natural and cultural treasures of the Akrotiri Peninsula. The event will take place on Sunday, 4 May 2025 at the Akrotiri Environmental Education Centre, as part of the Environmental Month of the Municipality of Kourion.<\/span><\/p>

This unique celebration is organized by the Municipality of Kourion, and supported by BirdLife Cyprus, Terra Cypria \u2013 The Cyprus Conservation Foundation, the Environment Department of the British Bases, and the Akrotiri Environmental Education Centre \u2013 Unit of Education for the Environment and Sustainable Development.<\/p>

Visitors of all ages will enjoy a full day of engaging activities that blend fun with environmental education. From an early morning bird ringing demonstration to interactive nature games, eco-crafts, and exhibitions, there\u2019s something for everyone. Highlights include a traditional basket weaving workshop, hands-on dragonfly exploration, a sand-themed science session for kids, and a nestbox making workshop that supports bird conservation.<\/p>

With something for every age group and interest, the Akrotiri Spring Festival promises to be a day full of exploration, creativity, and connection with nature.<\/p>
